I don't know if i have done my research properly. But Queen's isn't listed in the top 100 B schools around the world right? I don't know whose blog i had read. Can't remember..in those blogs, Queen's had disappeared from the top 100.
Glad you commented "tall dude", but it all depends on the rankings. The link is posted if you would like to verify the results Business Week has decided upon.
Furthermore, there are quite a few schools that have decided not to participate in a lot of the rankings since they waste a lot of faculty and staff time while not benefiting the program or the students. I discovered this after talking extensively with an ex-director of the program here at Queen's. The amount of paper work just for a single ranking is ridiculous.
As for rankings in general, after looking into them extensively I'm of the opinion they really don't represent much. The criterion they use and the people who do the evaluations don't really do anything objective. I'm sure you will come to a similar conclusion if you care to spend the time, but I don't recommend it since the end product isn't that useful.
Finally, to top that off, one of the key people with a particular ranking stated, to a source I talked to, that a particular school must be really good since "lots of people were going there" (ie popularity must make the ranking better). That didn't exactly increase my faith in the existing system.
At the end of the day you are left to your own reasoning and judgement. Best of luck with your choice "tall dude".
